About the Building

Coweta County tax records indicate that the house at 27 Jackson Street in Newnan Georgia was built in 1882.  It served as a residence until the 90's when it was purchased by a law firm.  It was converted to a restaurant by adding a kitchen onto the back and building two restrooms underneath the stairs.   The walls were painted, the bathrooms floors were tiled, and the hardwoods were refinished, but no other changes were made to the original structure.   The stained glass over the bakery counter is original. 

We can confirm that the house does have a ghost.  Our kitchen staff arrives very early in the morning and has reported hearing footsteps in the upstairs hallways and on the stairs during the early morning hours.  We have also had reports of an orb and a flashing light in the front right dining room.   These spirits may be restless, but they do not seem to be disturbed by the restaurant.  The house has a warm, welcoming feel despite these sightings.

The restaurant has three large downstairs dining rooms that can seat a combined total of 50 people inside with room for 22 more on the porch.    All of the dining rooms can be sectioned off for private parties.   With outdoor seating and private dining rooms that are ideal for meeting space, luncheons, or private parties, Moji's is the ideal location for your next event.
